Frequently Asked Questions
If your question is not answered here, call us. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
- What areas does BridgeWell Mobility serve?
- We serve King, Pierce, and Kitsap counties in Washington, and we are based in Federal Way. If your pickup or destination sits outside those counties, call us and we will tell you whether we can cover the trip.
- What kinds of transportation do you provide?
- Three levels of service. Ambulatory Transportation is for riders who can walk with minimal assistance. Wheelchair Transportation is for riders who stay in their wheelchair during the trip. Reclining Mobility Transportation is for riders who cannot sit upright comfortably and need to travel in a reclined position.
- How far in advance should I book?
- We usually need at least 24 hours' notice to arrange a trip. Same-day trips are often possible depending on driver availability, and we do not charge extra for them. Call us and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
- Do you accept Medicaid or insurance?
- BridgeWell Mobility is private-pay. We are not a Medicaid provider. If your transportation may be covered through Medicaid, an insurance plan, or another organization, contact us before arranging a trip so we can talk through your options.
- What happens after I submit a request?
- We review it and come back to you with driver availability and a fare. A submitted request is not a confirmed trip: your ride is confirmed only once you have accepted the fare and heard back from us.
- Can I arrange transportation for someone else?
- Yes. Family members, care providers, case managers, and facility staff arrange trips with us regularly. Tell us who the rider is and how you are connected to them, and we will take it from there.
- What if the rider does not have their own wheelchair?
- We can provide a wheelchair for use during the trip or for a passenger transfer. Mention it when you request the ride so we bring the right equipment.
- How much will my trip cost?
- Our fare estimator gives you an approximate cost for planning. It is not a confirmed fare — we review each request and come back to you with the actual price before anything is arranged.
- What are your hours?
- We operate from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week. Our booking line accepts trip requests at any hour, though we respond to them during operating hours.
- Do you go to the airport?
- Yes. We transport riders to and from airports, including SeaTac, alongside medical appointments, dialysis, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes.
